Specialized Hardrock Sport, classic vintage retro 93 model. Superlight model. Full Cro-Mo frame and forks, almost completely original good spec. 26 inch wheels, 17 inch medium frame. She weighs in at 27 lbs on my digital scales. Gears, front chain set all alloy, black chain rings, polished silver 175 mm road cranks, period alloy toothed pedals. Rear derailleur, Suntour XCM Light. 21 speed. Shimano SL MC40 trigger shifters. Front Mech. Suntour XCM. Brakes, lovely black finish Dia Compe XCM cantilevers and Dia Compe XCM bar levers. Original graphics and paint finish, in stunning Teal green and blue, (Kingfisher), Metalic green at the front, blending seamlessly across frame and forks to metallic blue at the rear in one blend. Alloy Sakae seat stem, with period Selle Royal racing seat. Everything is quick release. Black and silver alloy wheels, St. Steel spokes. Paintwork has got some damage, mostly rub marks etc, from obvious use, though remarkably the chainstay is almost undamaged. Generally mechanically and componentry excellent, if it was worn it was replaced so brand new cables, chain and Shimano rear 7 speed gear cassette. Cassette ratios are like an 8 speed, 11 to 28 teeth so she has wide ratios and a good top speed. Fully serviced including a bottom bracket rebuild and deep clean throughout. At her best as point to point fast, nimble and light street racer or hard pack dirt. Currently running road biased tyres. Locked and loaded, ready to roll.
